Lirdle Privacy Policy
Discord Activity & Bot · Policy version 1.0.1 · Effective date: 2026-10-11 ·
Lirdle ("the App") is a word game played as a Discord Activity in voice channels, with a companion utility bot for leaderboards and sharing. This policy explains what data the App handles.
Data the App stores
- Discord user ID and guild ID: used to keep each player's game separate per server.
- Gameplay data: guessed words, per-letter scores, game statistics (games played, wins, streaks, try counts), and daily sessions.
- Server settings: leaderboard channel and stats preferences configured by server administrators.
-
Preferences: hint and display toggles, stored only in your
own browser (
localStorage).
Where data lives
Gameplay data is stored in the App's own database, scoped per Discord server. Preferences never leave your device.
Data retention
Past puzzle sessions are kept so personal history, streaks, and leaderboard averages stay accurate. Server settings persist until a server administrator changes them.
What the App does not do
- No advertising, analytics, or cross-server tracking.
- No reading of message content: the bot only responds to its own slash commands.
- No sharing or sale of gameplay data to third parties.
Data removal
Removing the bot and Activity from a server stops further collection there. To request deletion of stored gameplay data, contact the developer through the Root Developers community or the project's issue tracker.
Revision history
- 1.0.1 (2026-10-11): Clarified data retention for past sessions and server settings.
- 1.0.0 (2026-10-11): Initial publication.
